Is Anyone Else Really Disappointed With The Twilight Movie?
Posted on November 17th, 2009 in Gossip
cuz i am a HUGE fan of the book, and i was shocked at how bad it was. i was also really upset with all of the scenes they cut out and altered. Do we have any hope for the New Moon movie?

Even they make the second movie I probably won’t go…
To me, Bella’s acting was so bad. Edward felt so fake sometimes. (to imagine if somebody act that way in real world, I had to laugh)
All the sudden they were friends, all the sudden they were in love. Without any emotion building up.
I didn’t like the way the director made this movie. It didn’t show good part of the book at all.
It was like a armature documentary.

Oh yeah. Huge disappointment! I thought that they would be able to remove the awkward parts from the book in order to keep the anticipation levels up in the movie. The acting was very stiff in the beginning and only got a little better as it got close to the end. When I read Twilight I didn’t like it. I felt like I was reading a teenage girls diary(I know it’s a teen aged book). I only kept reading because I was told it got better as they went on. I didn’t get hooked until book 3 and 4. And that’s what it felt like I was watching. A teenage girl’s home video. It had to do with the cameras and the sound and the random ways some of the scenes came together. I did not like the style of the director. It seemed like they got lost at times and didn’t know where to go next. It was obvious that their budget was VERY limited. Sad. It had such potential.
Guess I’ll wait until the next one. I’m sure they will have a much bigger budget. And with any luck they will switch directors. The bonus is that Robert Pattinson is incredibly hot. And you can just focus on that through out the movie.

i really thought it was pretty good.
they have to cut out some scenes, it they kept everything in it would either be boring or like 4 hours long.
i went to see it sort of thinking “well i know its not going to be as good as the book so im not going to criticize every little thing i see thats wrong”…whereas you probably went in with pretty high expectations. If you keep the same mindset the new moon will turn out the same for you.

I was very disappointed. I think they tried to rush the making of the movie too much. I think most of the cast was wrong. Bella was too boyish, she should’ve been more “helpless” in the presence of the perfect Edward; Edwards voice was not captivating at all; They didn’t focus much on his thrist for her blood or on how he was restraining himself. that kissing scene was the only indication on that; The dad (charlie) IDK… was just WRONG.
The other cullens were spot on though. Except that they were all supposed to be REALLY graceful and stand out from the rest of the student body. I didn’t see that at all…
The cinematography was just weird and the background music they chose was all wrong. The music should’ve brought out the excitement and heart pounding emotions but it didn’t, it was too lame.
I hate that they cut out really vital parts like the second attempt at a kiss where bella fainted. I loved that part, sorry.
I must say the fight scene was intense though so bravo on that.

like all books-turned-movies, twilight the movie came waaaay short of twilight the book. everything just went really fast and didn’t spark the same reaction as the book. also, if i had seen the movie without having read the books, i don’t think i would have understood the movie at all.

NO they aren’t making the second movie because this one is getting such bad feed back. And thank god I hate the books and the movies. I don’t understand what all the hype is about. And yes I read all 4 and saw the movie.

I haven’t seen it but alot of my friends are obsessed with Twilight and they didnt like the movie. Just remember the book is always going to be better than the movie.

I am a fan but not as crazy as some of the girls get but i kinda thought it was a bit disappointing for leaving out some scenes but overall it still took 2 hours so if they had the scenes it probably wouldve took like 3 hours!!!!

Well…I thought it was okay. It was good except for the fact that they rushed the meadow scene, skipped a lot of chapters, and the special effects were really bad.

I am very disappointed! the feeling was totally WRONG…and most of the actors weren’t right for their parts
if it’s gonna be like this again, I’d rather not have new moon turned into a movie.

Not unless we get a new director and someone else to write the screenplay. I was so disappointed.

you need to realize that the movie could never personify the book. It is just too lengthy.

i was no fan of the book, so i really don’t know how to answer this question.
